Lately, there has been a lot of interest in Hillary Clinton’s testimony about the events that happened in Libya, at the Benghazi embassy on Sept. 11, 2012.

I watched part of the testimony on my PC and was mildly interested in the back and forth. From my perspective, the event seemed avoidable. There were calls for extra security, more help and they were not responded to, before the event, and during. Big question, why?

If before the event, they knew there was going to be some kind of trouble, why didn’t they pull the staff and people out? Evacuate the embassy? Maybe only the President and Hillary know that.

One thing I have noticed about this administration is that, from what I have heard on several media sources, they haven’t passed a budget, and they have used CRs (continuing resolutions) to fund the government and avoid shutdowns.

I read an article in Politico recently regarding the CR situation, titled “Welcome to CR Hell”. See http://www.politico.com/agenda/story/2015/10/congress-federal-budget-continuing-resolution-000270

In a  nutshell; when a CR is passed, it’s like you can’t do anything more, you can’t plan on doing anything, but at least we aren’t shutdown and doing nothing. So you’re in a kind of suspended animation. A wonderful way for a government to run. Could there be a better way to make a country ineffective that “surviving” on CRs? It seems beyond dysfunctional. It amazes me.
